Personally, I think β€œsimple” liking is the scourge of the social Internet and adds little to no value to anyone, unless you’re using β€œliking” as a bookmark type thing, which is what my wife does instead of using an actual bookmarking service.

That said, I often β€œlike” other peoples posts using Indigenous, however, when they Micropub to my blog they do so β€œPrivately” and I can then choose to add a comment or pull-quote later, and then publish it publicly.
