I love this poster, think I found it on r/weed.

Georgia Minors

We've had a flurry of new player signings at New Lambton FC in the last week or so since the WPL season wrapped up, one of them is Georgia Minors. The Club asked me to organise a signing announcement post for our social media, so we scheduled a quick shoot and here are the results.

Oh Karen...

Just got told off by a young Karen for flying my drone over a public park, with nobody in it, whilst I was doing a job for a client.

Apparently, being a licensed drone operator, with my radio handy to make sure there was no other air traffic in the area, wasn't good enough...and I quote, "you can keep saying you're a licensed pilot but it doesn't make any difference, you're not allowed to fly over a public park".

Did I mention that there wasn't anybody in the park whilst I was flying, until her dog ran in (off-leash, in a non-off-leash park, but I decided not to be that person) and started barking at my drone, which I then landed back where I took off?

Did I mention that it's not illegal to fly in a public park where I live?

Did I also mention I'm a licensed drone operator?

Football Social Posts

All of the teams on the Northern League One side of New Lambton FC have made it through to the finals, and in the case of the Under 16's and First Grade, they also won their Minor Premierships.

To celebrate the Minor Premierships, I designed up the following images for our Instagram and Facebook accounts. I'm pretty happy how they have turned out, particularly as I used the players names from each team to create the background.

And for our 13's, 14's, 15's, 18's, and Reserves, I made the below Instagram posts with their Preliminary Final game date/time information on them.

Football is almost over for the season and I just realised I've uploaded almost zero photos to my website this season, better pull my finger out! ⚽️

New Lambton FC vs Cooks Hill United FC

Round 14 of the 2020 Northern League One season, played at Alder Park, New Lambton on Saturday 26th of September, 2020.

How’d this happen?

Somehow I’ve found myself in the role of Social Media Coordinator at Alder Park Sports Club, alongside sitting on their Board.

Anyway, here are a bunch of the posts I’ve completed recently on the Club’s Facebook, I’m still in the process of working out what will work on their Insta...

It’s about time I charged the batteries and cleared the dust off my camera, it’s just another couple of weeks until we’re back to this, well not this park specifically, but football in general. ⚽️ 📷 📹

⚽️ So I’ve just learned that a local organisation is changing it’s refund policy, understandable given the current COVID-19 pandemic, however, they’re going to be applying it to purchases of their service that were made pre-pandemic.

I’m disgusted by their actions…

Dirty Pink Jeans at The Cambo

Another local band from the archives today, here's a bunch of photos from the Dirty Pink Jeans gig at The Cambo, back in November 2005. Enjoy!

Anakin and Obi-Wan must decide whether to help Ahsoka pursue Maul or rescue Palpatine.

This season of Clone Wars has been pretty good, I’m really enjoying the Ahsoka ark in particular!

I just watched this on loop, it's perfect! 😂

Like everyone else, I’ve got a bit of extra time on my hands at the moment due to the COVID-19 situation here in Australia. So to try and use this extra time somewhat productively I’ve decided I’m going to organise, re-edit, and post, all the band photos I used to shoot in the mid-2000’s when I was the house photographer at The Cambo...stay tuned 🤟🏼

After shooting 12 games of football on the weekend, approximately 3,500 photos, I am out of my feet today... 😑

At about 2:30am this morning my HomePod started playing Friendly Ghost. The whole family was fast asleep, and I can’t recall the last time I listened to The Eels.

Is my house haunted? Should I be afraid? 👻

🔗 Would You Spend $8,000 on a Compact Camera That Only Shoots Black and White? Leica Announces the M10 Monochrom | Fstoppers

Definitely! It looks like an amazing bit of kit, and the challenge of only being able to capture in black and white would make most photographers so much better at seeing their subject. I just wish it came with some form of guarantee against divorce…my wife would definitely divorce me if I bought this! 😢

Drone captures chilling moment Great White shark stalks swimmers at NSW beach

I love that there are sharks in the waters, it’s a good sign of an eco system beginning to recover…but the video that Sunrise put together for the story is disgusting!

I don’t understand why the media needs to constantly demonise these animals! Why the flashing red, why call it a scene “straight from a horror movie”, why the menacing tone? There’s no way those swimmers are in danger from the shark, it’s not “stalking” them, it’s trying to find fish amongst the breakers. If it wanted to eat the people, this video would not be safe to view!

The media just needs to stop the over dramatisation of these events. Embrace that our waters are starting to recover from over fishing, embrace the environmental aspect of this, and for crying out loud, let’s try to educate people!
