Building a dedicated “app” for your business that is just a viewer for your website, aka a browser, without any customisation for it being on mobile, just seems extraordinarily lazy these days. If you’re going to approach it that way, at least optimise the experience for the screen size. 🤯

WordPress.org bans WP Engine, blocks it from accessing its resources
WordPress drama went up another notch on Wednesday after WordPress.org, the open-source web hosting software, banned hosting provider WP Engine from accessing its resources.
Well that escalated rapidly!
You'd hate to be a WP Engine customer at the moment, caught in the middle of the drama, not being able to auto-update plugins, wondering whether to move to a different host, or even a different platform!
This will get worse before it gets better, I'm not confident WordPress or WP Engine will make smart decisions here.

It looks like a cheap bit of plastic, and still to this day, it makes no sense as a product to me considering the vast majority of people carry a phone on their person, which has a plethora of “smart assistants” options…you don’t even have to stick to the inbuilt one…
Remember when it used to be free to automatically share your posts from your Wordpress site to X / Twitter, Facebook, etc. When did that go away? Is that part of Automattic spinning Jetpack out into it's own product? Gotta be honest, don't think I can justify spending $15 a month to share a post to a couple of social networks, and it doesn't look like X is even one of the inbuilt ones, which presumably is to do with X and their developer API.
Starting to have a play with Obsidian, looks like it can be anything and everything, just got to find your own workflow…typically, these type of apps don’t last long for me, I need an clear path to follow
