Looking north west from off of Carey Bay at the smoke from the NSW RFS hazard reduction burn at the old Cooranbong Colliery.
Surviving on Strepsils, LemSip, and water currently. Nose is running like a tap, coughing and spluttering every couple of minutes. Good times! 🤒
Pretty much frustrated with everything at the moment. 🤷♂️
Went fishing today, caught a pike on a Samaki vibe, got it alongside the boat and as I was netting it, it chewed through the braid. No fish, no lure, just me holding a rod in one hand and a net in the other, wondering what just happened…

Took the lad out fishing on the lake today, caught a few tailor and a solid flathead. Marked a couple of new spots too, keen to give them another try and see if they’re as productive…
No longer am I going above and beyond, not since it’s become expected and not valued.
I’m going to spend the next few days deleting myself from Meta properties, along with LinkedIn.
Time to withdraw for a while.
Frustrating when you give someone advice, but not the answer they were hoping for, so they get offended and disagree. 🤷♂️
Now that COVID has been over in Australia for the best part of 12 months, you’d be forgiven for thinking people would return to their offices, but no, everyone is working from home still and complaining that I play music with a bit of volume during the day, when people would normally be at their offices…
It’s quite frustrating when you’re not allowed to be yourself even in your own home.

Went fishing today, hit the water too late and pretty much caught nothing…
Left my crab traps in overnight, went back out to get them this morning and 3 of the 4 traps had octopuses in them…chucked them back as I could be bothered with all the prep work to get them ready for the BBQ.
New PB (78cm) Dusky Flathead from out in the lake this morning…sent it back to fight another day
