📺 Watching: Secret Level
Original stories set within the worlds of iconic video games are featured in this animated anthology series.
From the creators of Love, Death & Robots. Very good!
🎥 Watching: The Dead Don’t Die
The focus is on the sleepy small town of Centerville where the dead become undead.
A dark and dry comedy zombie movie with an absolute stellar cast, including Bill Murray, Adam Driver, Chloe Sevigny, Danny Glover, Steve Buscemi, Tilda Swinton, Tom Waits, Iggy Pop, and Selena Gomez.

🎥 Watched: Woman Of The Hour
Sheryl Bradshaw, a single woman looking for a suitor on a hit 1970s TV show, chooses charming bachelor Rodney Alcala, unaware that, behind the man’s gentle facade, he hides a deadly secret.
Bit of a different take on the 70’s era serial killer movie genre. Takes a while for the story to ramp up, but is decent overall.

I’ve hit peak burnout, and peak frustration, so I’m tapping out on the rest of the year. So much of my time is chewed up volunteering, it used to be rewarding, but now I’m the default person that everyone goes to it’s become a 7 days a week thing, that’s not fair or remotely equitable.
It’s Fishing & Crabbing We Go, Sea Shanty
When your wife challenges you to write a sea shanty after seeing your shared calendar notification, you take that challenge…and then maybe you cheat a little a use ChatGPT because after all, you’re not a song writer 😜

Hi ho, hi ho, it’s fishing and crabbing we go, With nets in hand, we’ll scour the sand, Hi ho, hi ho!
Hi ho, hi ho, the tides they ebb and flow, We’ll cast our lines and haul the brines, For fishing and crabbing we go!
The salty breeze, it fills the seas, Our traps and bait below, We’ll fill the hold with tales untold, From fishing and crabbing we go!
Hi ho, hi ho, it’s fishing and crabbing we go, The ocean’s call, we’ll heed it all, Hi ho, hi ho!

We used to have Stars, Celebrities, and Personalities, in various fields, be it movies, tv, music, sports, etc. Nowadays, according to most media outlets, everyone seemingly is called a Star.
My question would be, if everyone is a star, is anyone actually a star?
The Week Ahead
Looks to be pretty busy, but shouldn’t be too stressful if things go to plan. 🤞
Monday - finish clearing the garage and make a couple of tip runs
Tuesday - setup golf sim in the garage, football meeting at 5pm, sports club board meeting at 6pm
Wednesday - take the boat out on Lake Macquarie, try to catch some fish and crabs for Sunday BBQ
Thursday - same as Wednesday
Friday - same as Wednesday, if I haven’t caught enough for the Sunday BBQ, otherwise play some golf
Saturday - no plans
Sunday - early trial match between between my sons team and Singleton Under 18’s, then family Christmas BBQ
Plenty on, nothing stressful, let’s go!
I’ve reached that time of the year where my resilience levels have all but reached zero, and so just about every inconvenience sends me into a rage. I internalise it because I’m an Adult and can control my exterior, though my ADHD really wants me to show the world that frustration. 🤯
Building a dedicated “app” for your business that is just a viewer for your website, aka a browser, without any customisation for it being on mobile, just seems extraordinarily lazy these days. If you’re going to approach it that way, at least optimise the experience for the screen size. 🤯
Annoying Monday morning issue, my son’s bike has a slow leak in the rear tire, seemingly takes 8-10 hours to go down…so in theory, if I pump it up now before he goes to school, it should stay up enough to get him home in 7 hours 🤷♂️
Who stuffed this one up, was it the intern, was it AI, or do we just not care about information being correct anymore?
This pair… 🤷♂️🤪
Might be time to increase the dosage of my ADHD meds, finding them less effective currently and have been on the same dosage for a couple of months now.
Strong result by Arsenal over West Ham in the EPL, conceding 2 wasn’t part of the plan, good to get the season back on track though! Back up to 2nd on the table, a draw between Liverpool and Man City would be ideal! ⚽️
I’m hoping this rain forecast for today is wildly inaccurate! Eeek!
That’s approx. 2.5 inches for those in the USA.
Unsubscribed from another 45+ mailing lists, many of which I do not recall signing up to, a fair few from products I’m not remotely interested in, nor have ever purchased. Most respected the “unsub” but a few gave the “it can take 3 days for us to action this” response, which is a load of BS!
Flawed Decision Making
None of this passes the sniff test…
Thursday’s inquiry into the new laws ran for just three hours, with Australians given only a day to lodge submissions.
The government has said it will rely on some form of age-verification technology to implement the restrictions but the details are vague and the technology has not been finalised.
The onus will be on social media companies to add age-verification tools themselves.
The ban involves the highest age limit set by any country, and does not include exemptions for those with parental consent.
There will be no penalties for parents or children who ignore the rules.
I don’t understand why we are rushing this through? What is being hidden in the legislation? How will the age verification work? How can you determine that I am over the age of 16? Does this become a way to have a national ID system?
Lots of questions, absolutely no answers!
All these Black Friday sales emails makes it easy to unsubscribe from all the various mailing lists you’ve ended up on over the last 12 months. The standard “sorry to see you go” message feels disingenuous though, along with the exit poll asking why you’ve unsubscribed.
